At a special meeting on October 31st , the Coast Mountains School District Board of Education have voted to censure Trustee Michael Maxim for misconduct. The school trustee from Thornhill was found to have breached confidentiality stemming from in camera discussions this fall. A number of sanctions have been imposed on Maxim including public censure, exclusion from participation in committees and in camera meetings of the Board, a requirement for virtual attendance at Board meetings, and participation in provincial meetings at his own expense. All sanctions will remain in place until the end of the 2023-24 school year.
